As part of planning for his retirement in April 2019, Fred sought a private wealth business with a similar investment philosophy to his own, where his clients would benefit from ‘proper’ financial planning – and chose to join Magus.
Fred initially qualified as a Certified Accountant, firstly working at Xerox and later starting his own accountancy business. His accountancy clients demanded strategic business advice, proactive tax planning and help to grow their wealth. As a result, he created a financial planning service within his business, which he continues to spearhead and has now brought across into Magus.
Fred’s main focus has always been to put his clients’ interests first:
“My clients are hugely important to me. I love that they see me as a trusted, safe pair of hands”.
Fred is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, a Certified Financial Planner, and a member of both the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and Institute of Financial Planning.
Besides his extended family, 3 children, 6 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Fred’s great passions are cycling and travel.
“Top of my bucket list is climbing many of the Cols of the Tour du France and the Giro d’Italia. I also want to visit far off places: India is already planned, but there will definitely be no bikes on that one”.
